受入をお願いするメール

遡りますが、

所属機関のgrantに応募するにあたり、受入教授の承諾・サインが必要だったので、

知り合いの先生の伝を辿り、受け入れて頂けそうな教授にメールを送りました。

Hello, my name is Rebasashiko, and I am a research fellow at Rebasashi Institute

 https:// ). I am writing this mail since professor XX referred me to you.

 

I have been working on XX and am currently working at XX there, and I am very interested in the XX in the UK. 

 

I have heard from several professors that you are the best professor with these areas.

 

Actually, I am hoping to visit the UK and I am preparing to apply for Rebasashi grant to visit the UK. I need to find a host researcher who can support my application (accept my visiting) and XX referred me to you. I am sorry to bother you, but I would be very grateful if you could support my application.

 

If I get a grant, I need to be a ‘guest researcher’, but since the Rebasashi grant covers all costs of visiting and I don't need to get a visa for this one-month visit, I think I wouldn’t impose much of a burden on you or university. I am thinking about visiting there from the late August to mid September.

 

I am so sorry to send such an email during the holidays, but I would appreciate if you would get back to me when you have free time.
